Where to stay in Shizuoka

The main set of accommodations in Shizuoka concentrates around the central train station. With some high-rise business hotels, traditional ryokans, and hostels to choose from, this conveniently located district offers options to suit a smorgasbord of tastes and budgets. Look along the coast to Yaizu for a group of accommodations with onsens close to the hot spring, where you can sample this quintessentially Japanese experience. Shimizu to the east has a number of grand hotels lining its waterfront, offering extensive views of the coast.

  • It is located just across the JR station. Wonderful display and friendly service. We felt very welcomed by the museum workers. Nice gift shop. Will visit again.  more »

  • At the Shizuoka station is located is a Museum in the building of the city, so the atmosphere is not expected advantage is ideal. Sometimes we also attend events.

  • From the train station near easy-to-use. The exhibition theme is also suspect. So you want a little bit cheaper admission.
