Where to stay in Shizuoka

The main set of accommodations in Shizuoka concentrates around the central train station.   • This is the only way to go visit the Toshogu Shrine. The views from the cable car are pretty impressive, you can see the shoreline & bay. The Nihondaira Park that is right by the Ropeway is a terrific...  more »
  • We took the ropeway route to the shrine - well worth it for the amazing views across the bay. If weather cooperates you will see Mt. Fuji. We could just make it out above the clouds  more »
