  • I visited this National Historic Site with my wife. The exact location of the gateway to Tohoku area had been lost until it was determined in the Edo era. As such, there is not much to see.  more »
  • I went during spring in full swing. Now enjoy the site of Shirakawa, few visitors on weekdays. What I think is (1) to non-tourist destination packed with the tourist element. (2) no boundary fences and footpaths dogtooth violet flower is in full bloom was able to grow natural look. (3) think there's heritage also points each but not enough explanation signs, shame and regrettable, especially about the barrier marks during the Edo period. Such as felt and place elements together as a whole more tourists, could be important sightseeing tour company. – – – Is also annoying since the devastation caused by too many tourists, but insofar as it is a concern here and where local tourism association hope talked to with confidence and hope.

  • Come to eat ramen Shirakawa, opens arrived an hour before time saw we spotted the sign if I was exploring the area to kill. Surprised, knowing it was on before the taika reform of ancient. Koseki pilgrimage concluded that due to historical investigation of Shirakawa feudal Lord Matsudaira sadanobu, the region where Shirakawa mark memorial stone there, and learn where it is. Karahori ruins and earthen trail walking and walking on the Tomb were based on is. 2 in accordance with cedar and cedar trees, like the power spot was. Tourists weren't at all. Shirakawa-Shi sightseeing Association everybody here is property of the city. More PR.
