Is the belfry gate was broadcast on NHK's "happy new year". It is very clean. At six in the morning, solemn bells ring.

Temple of gasshou-zukuri settlement was still thatched roof. Belfry gate, under the main building was destroyed, the lodgers are exposed as a folk museum. I think farming also said the Museum was stored inside of WADA and Nagase, folk and was not much different. Just here to visit from outside should be enough.

The shiny boards from over 200 years ago, and continue to burn throughout the year keep flashpoints on the hearth in the living room and the rope, I felt the long tract of years. We visited the at that time had been the sericulture tool, such as the attic. In the hallway cluttered Street corridor of the priest's living quarters in the main hall and headed out to the main hall, but I was surprised. I felt into the village, you can see inside in the first place was because they visited, but homework is necessary.

Was come out to stroll early in the morning and a priest strike a Bell. In Shirakawa-go hear the Bell sound is coupled with a thatched roof landscape. Words can't describe how I was impressed.

It is unusual bell tower gate of the thatched roof. It is one of the buildings in a-frame thatched-roof Temple, representing the Shirakawa-go.

A deep historical village of Rafter who worship Temple of it. The Bell Tower Gates remained in the impression. I heard in the summer, but'd like snow scenery.

The building of the biggest in shirakawago Gassho. Admission fee: 300 yen. The building of the temple. You can on each floor and exhibition of agricultural and forestry equipment know of that time, living in a large four-story building. A little Folklore Museum. You can view out from the top floor.

Where to stay in Shirakawa-mura

Located to the south of the main tourist village, the accommodations of Shirakawa-mura primarily come in the form of the traditional sloped-roof farmhouses of the historic village. Converted into hotels and guesthouses, or newly built in the distinctive style so as to fit in, the accommodations serve a mixed clientele, with a choice of budget-friendly hostels and luxury "ryokan" (traditional guesthouses). The village of Hirase further to the south has a number of standard hotels and ryokan, as well as some seasonal camping options, linked up to the main tourist village by road.
