#11 of 187 in Fun & Games in Tokyo
Surrounded by some of Tokyo's tallest buildings, Shinjuku Chuo Park offers opportunities for strolling, playing, and picnicking under cherry trees. This compact oasis of greenery and tranquility features many sculptures, a shrine, an artificial waterfall, and exercise areas, where you can play basketball, baseball, or soccer. Look for a set of 12 hanging bells that constitute a sculpture call the "Peace Carillion." Young families and office employees remain the most frequent visitors of the park. • In view of Taiwan, staying at the hotel in the west of Boston will come here for a look, the next side is the Central Park, is a good place to take the children out, recommended! Sometimes there are special activities, very hot!

  • Great little park to visit! Pretty quiet spot where you can take a seat on a bench, people watch, and listen to the sounds around you. Love the waterfall area in the middle of the park, even though it’s man made. You may find some people playing instruments, which adds to the great and calming atmosphere. Best part of the park is the beautiful shrine towards the back. Worth a visit, especially if you’re staying at the Hyatt Regency.
  • Nice park, where many people perform their skills like singing, dancing. Many comes with their pets. This will be fun visiting on Saturday Sunday!!
  • This is a pleasant little corner to recuperate it. The fresh air, leisurely pace the locals go about with hardly any tourists. It's great joy seeing some of the happy dogs walking in the park. This is a hidden gem especially for those who have just visited the Tokyo metropolitan government towers. This place offers views from the ground up that is unblocked with decorative greenery to add to the photos. It also offers great views to nearby skyscrapers. The only downside is that the landscaping is not comparable to the other Parks in the city. But it doesn't cost anything either to enter. Put this in you itinerary if you can spare the extra 30-45 minutes here before heading off elsewhere.
  • Its Tokyo's Central park like N.Y. nice green park in the middle of the city. Kids and family, pets, meetup group, couple and seniors. Everyone enjoys in the park.
  • A tiny and quiet park among the most prestigious region in Japan, nishi-Shinjuku. Frankly speaking, there is nothing special, but a shrine. Many vendors sell food in front the artificial waterfall. As a Chinese, I suggest you not to taste the Chinese wine like 茅台,五粮液 here, because they are too cheap to be true.
