Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum of Art, Shinjuku
Categories: Art Museums, Museums
Established in 1976 with the initial intention of displaying work only by Seiji Togo, Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum of Art has blossomed into a fully fledged exhibition space, showing works by both Japanese and international artists. When Togo died, 156 of his works were donated to the museum, as well as his personal collection of a further 189 works by other artists, dramatically enhancing the space's roster. Keep an eye out for one of the museum's highlights, a work by Van Gogh entitled "Sunflowers." With the small museum located on the 42nd floor of the company's headquarters, you can enjoy panoramic views while perusing the works.
