Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku, Shinjuku

(3.7/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
Situated in the heart of the bustling commercial center of Tokyo, the massive Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku dominates the western side of the ward's railway station and hosts 14 stories of shopping. The department store caters predominantly to female customers, with just a single floor dedicated to men, and another reserved for food (the very bottom floor). That said, you can find almost anything here, from luxury fashion items to homewares and sports equipment. Hungry shoppers should check out the food market in the basement, where a huge selection of Japanese fare begs to be sampled. Put Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku at the forefront of your travel plans using our Tokyo vacation trip planner.

  • Another weird department store - just got to to the basement and head for the food section . Although bear in mind that if you pick up different foods you have to pay at different tills sometimes
  • The best department store in Shinjuku! We stayed as a family near Shinjuku station and were starving after a massive day touring around Tokyo. Not sure of where to eat, we stumbled upon the basement o...  more »
  • It is a long-established Department store located in Shinjuku Station West exit. Served by the Shinjuku line and connected and gate in the basement, almost directly to the station's location. Even the luxury brand shops, excellent assortment. Upstairs there other food and beverage outlets, large bookstores and stationery shops. It is also the underground street. The elevator staff equipped with services such as information and numerous.

  • Affordable counterpart to Isetan & Takeshiyama, like Keio next door, but has a better food court (depachika) compared to Keio. What I also liked about Odakyu is that they'd every so often hold a special fair on the top floor, featuring vendors & restaurants from different regions of Japan, like a pop-up store. Stop by an hr or so before closing to score super cheap food! Be prepared for a crowd though.
  • Best location, and it is in the middle of everything. Top floor has an open area which offers shinjuku skyline view.
  • we love their food section at basement
  • 駅の上で便利です。
  • One of the Many Mall to Go Shopping in Shinjuku
