  • If you're here for baseball, but your gear in the tent outside stadium instead of tiny, tiny shop a block away. Much easier and similar stuff. Expect much smaller seats than in America.
  • Go Go Swalows! What a great atmosphere. The Singing and cheering for the team was great and there is even a dance/cheersong with an umbrella so bring one to join in!
  • Hard to find your gate, but what a fun place with great team spirit! Each batter had their own cheer! How cool is that? We had bought beer from beer girls but did not notice each girl or guy sold a different brand of beer. Will pay more attention to that next time. Instead of American ballpark food such as peanuts and hot dogs, we ate takoyaki, yakisoba, and ramen! Fans are all seated before the game starts and does not leave until the bottom of the 9th is over. Talk about real fans. We left at the bottom of the 8th while the Home Team, Tokyo Yakults were still up to beat crowds.
  • Was a lot of fun to watch the game. Seats were small and not especially comfortable.
  • A great place to watch baseball. Shame the Swallows lost when we went. Go Balentien!

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
