  • After a tourist attraction of the Ise-Shima region is located on the net, was well received, so I went. Access is inconvenient, but worth looking at and. Because it didn't have a car, headed by train and taxi. Kintetsu Ugata Station in relationship to get a taxi (* preferred the Shima-Yokoyama station in a small station in the area there is nothing...) From the taxi ride from Yokoyama visitor center. From there climb up Observatory 15 minutes-it takes about 20 minutes (adult male in 15-20 minutes). Day had spare time, thoroughly enjoying the views, walking from Ugata Station on the way back, back (hours walking time 30-40 minutes). No time, those who want to avoid climbing up and down the stairs near the Observatory went by taxi, taxi waiting and trouble of having... (That and taxi drivers said many such people).

  • It is the best view. There is a beautiful Bay. See and Lookout, just nice to walk. Summer is hot as towels are required.

  • Bay below from this Yokoyama, widening of the RIA in the Center below-Shima region. Dotted with countless intricate coves and islets, it's great. Arrive prepared car, walk down the Boardwalk and observation deck. You should go there. In turn to the right in the route by car to the local towards Shima from Toba-Shima Ugata city before heading to Yokoyama. There are instructions, so it will follow notice near Yokoyama observation tower.

Where to stay in Shima

Only recently merged into one city, Shima has many different centers, each with its set of accommodations. The main ones of interest for tourists lie close to the train stations, with conveniently placed hotels and guesthouses, and also along the coast. Accommodations dot the rugged coastlines of Ago and Matoya bays, where some particularly exclusive options enjoy extensive coastal views, onsite spas, and restaurants. Standing next to them, in only slightly less privileged positions, you'll find a number of guesthouses and simple hotels.
