Where to stay in Shima

Only recently merged into one city, Shima has many different centers, each with its set of accommodations. The main ones of interest for tourists lie close to the train stations, with conveniently placed hotels and guesthouses, and also along the coast. Accommodations dot the rugged coastlines of Ago and Matoya bays, where some particularly exclusive options enjoy extensive coastal views, onsite spas, and restaurants. Standing next to them, in only slightly less privileged positions, you'll find a number of guesthouses and simple hotels.

  • That car parked at the foot of the lighthouse, climb the Hill, 7-8 minutes! Along the way, there are souvenir shops, is the aunt of local seaweed, shells and sell! Go see it is Mikimoto Pearl Island. Great views over pay 200 yen and climb to the top of the lighthouse. Spent in the airy, very nice!

  • Went for the first time to paint the town great. Line the steep slope just a little arcade of shops. Here's the early Showa period! And did the spots.
