  • Great place for a few quiet moments savouring a step back into history. Free for o.a.p. s and even at 100¥ it's cheap. Beautiful furniture inside and cosy garden to walk through. Beautiful cherry tree...  more »
  • A slice of history in the trendy neighbourhood of Daikanyama. Quiet, mostly visited by locals, and at only 100yen it's a steal. Best to come in late Spring or Autumn when it's not too hot or cold.  more »

  • Hidden gem between skyscrapers of Daikanyama. You get a feel of modernised Japanese residence of the early 20th century... Really nice garden, too.
  • Beautifully preserved house from Meiji Tokyo. Compared to other similar places where you can only peer in from outside the rooms, here you can go inside and really explore the space. The rooms are totally empty, but you can get right up close to the architecture.
  • Opportunity to see a nice house from early 1900s without the usual tourist crowds. In a neighborhood fun for exploring for coffee, books and parks. Oh yeah and lots of dogs wearing better outfits than me too😎
  • Wonderful traditional architecture & Japanese garden gem in the middle of modern/crowded neighborhood in Tokyo.
  • pretty cool to see such a lovely pre-war estate so well-preserved
