This business needs to update their website to include accurate hours or hire people that actually open the Cafe on time. An utter waste of time. Building smelled bad. Yeah lined street.  more »

Wasutowan just want to give one star. Clerk's crusty and snarky attitude. NG is all about rules. All about the impossible. Soon came out. I mean, whatever was being monitored while staring hell. Cat feeding too many cats I have been from other cat cafes, I. The treatment was going to know. You should not go here. Be careful! Warning! You must not go this terrible cat cafe!

Showed up about an hour after the opening time and the cafe was closed, there were no signs outside to say it was shut and we only found out when we went in the building, up a dirty lift and got to the cafe. There was a woman at the reception area who looked very gubby and unclean and looked straight at us and when we tried to get her attention and ask if the cafe was opening, she completely ignored us. Rude staff and the whole place looked very dirty. Would not recommend and in hindsight, I'm glad this place was shut so we didn't waste our time and money here.

The one star is just for the beauty of the cats ,the rest is overrated, staff are rude and don't make you feel really welcome, you spend more time reading the house rules than playing with the actual cats which will only come around you if you feed them in which case you have to buy the food ,do not waste your time and money in this place

Get your kitty fix with some tea and snacks. The chai latte is good.

FAKE Profile - Cafe Hapineko Pretends to be Melange The real Cafe Melange is near Ebisu station, not Shibuya. We have yet to visit the real Melange, but will do so soon. When you look at the pictures and then finally manage to find this business, you will realize that this cat cafe is Hapineko, not Melange. This business profile not only steals the Melange name, but puts the location pin is in the wrong place. Hapineko is less than a minute west of Shibuya 109 Mall on Dogenzaka Street, not a minute west of Mos Burger about two blocks to the west on the same street. We spent over an HOUR walking the streets and alleys of Dogenzaka late in the evening, looking for Cafe Melange due to Hapineko's deception. So even before visiting, we were used and abused by this horrible business. We later found free WiFi and took a second look at the business profile, and realized we had seen the business sign earlier to the east. When we arrived, the business turned out to be Hapineko, not Melange. The extent of the deception only became clear the next day after some research online. Hapineko made this profile pretending to be Cafe Melange in order to attract customers, probably because the reviews under its real name are so awful, and Melange's are much better. The negative reviews are well deserved, and I have no doubt that Hapineko has very little repeat business, and thrives on one-time tourist visits. The staff are nearly as disinterested in the guests as the cats, and seemingly have no investment in ensuring we enjoyed ourselves or interacted with the felines, and even prevented us from trying to attract their attention. We were apparently supposed to be satisfied with only watching the cats, who pay little attention to visitors. While the cats were beautiful and seemed well cared for, this is not the experience we were seeking. We have such a limited time in Tokyo and I seriously resent the deception and intentional wasting of our time by this business. 0/10.

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city.
