  • The Museum entrance is included in the Grutto pass. There are two rooms, only in Japanese, it's a shame. For those who are interested in clothing, costumes, fabric, this is worth the trip. Currently it is an exhibition on the transition from traditional clothing and Western costumes, sumptuous traditional clothing and Western clothes. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to enjoy.

  • I went to the exhibition. It is within walking distance from Shinjuku. Staff at the hotel, had a spectacular exhibition because they have very good planning.

  • Down the Koshu-Kaido from Shinjuku Station South exit Bunka Gakuen and Museum located on the left. You won't overlook the exhibition is large, so. Charges are applicable.

  • Embroidery show was beautiful- very little English but there is some. Downstairs is Japanese embroidery and Upstairs is the rest of the world. 30 min is plenty to see it all. 500yen admission.
  • Decent museum if you're interested in old fashion from around the world. No photography allowed though.
  • Great little textiles museum
  • AWESOME PLACE!!
  • Under the auspices of the Bunka Fashion College, this specialized museum has collected some 20,000 historical costumes and related crafts from around Japan and around the world, and holds four exhibitions a year organized around specific themes. The collection includes folk costumes, accessories and textiles from Europe, Africa and Asia, and Noh costumes and modern court costumes from Japan.
