Seto Bridge, Japan

Categories: Scenic Drives, Bridges, Outdoor Activities, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 120 reviews on the web
The only double-deck bridge of the six bridges connecting Honshu and Shikoku islands, Seto Bridge spans over 13 km (8 mi) across the Seto Sea, carrying two railway lines on its lower deck. A marvel of engineering which took a decade to complete, the bridge complex has become a major tourist attraction. You can take a pleasure boat tour from Kojima sightseeing port to admire the bridge from below, or simply hop on a train to get spectacular views from the bridge itself. It takes 20 minutes to cross the bridge by train or by car. Nearby, three suspension bridges, two oblique suspension bridges, and one truss bridge make great silhouettes, and add to the scene when illuminated after sunset.
