  • Many cats are waiting for you there. Gotokuji is a lovely little place with many trees, temple, cat's figures and big cemetery. There are really no huge numbers of tourist. Be ready it takes a little effort to reach this place cause it locates in Tokyo's suburbs.  Google map can navigate you well from station if you don't want to be lost around many nice streets. But to see this lovely place is best award for all efforts.
  • Very peaceful place to visit. Its interesting to know that the waving cat/lucky cat origin is this temple.
  • A hidden gem in the quiet sagataya district. The origin of maneki neko 招き猫 original prototype. Definitely not a tourist spot but worth visiting. You'll see hundreds of the neko figures all sitting together in a small corner in the temples. The souvenirs shop sells the original neko figures in various sizes.
  • Our favorite temple so far. Very quiet and peaceful. They gave you an english folder with the legend of the waving cat if you buy one at the shop.
  • Peaceful place in the middle of busy Tokyo with many welcoming cat figures.

Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi.
