Mitsukoshi also, kokubun-Cho in the red-light district is excellent and very convenient location nearby. If you tired of the shopping arcade of crowds to walk a little in this park is the best.

Kyōka's blind love that expand the Sendai clan clan Patriarch date Masamune, Hanamura kotodai House could see kotodai"name is also derived from Hirose river terraces, seen from the center of Sendai Castle during the Edo period (Basho no tsuji), part of the Park is somewhat elevated. "Kotodai" is now "so lighthous..." and read, but in the Edo period "this which in no" and read.

Located at the heart of the city, it's always the place to go for events in Sendai. Look for many exciting events happening every month, esp in summer and winter.

It is a small Park, littered with bronze statues. Not somewhere you would specially go for, unless there's a town fair or something. You can pop by though, if you happen to pass by for shopping or eating. the other reason would be for Wake Up Girls anime pilgrimage. Note that there are no Sakura trees here, so try the other parks like nishi Park or tsutsujigaoka. Oh, it is too dark to visit at night, unless you want to spend your night with the homeless asleep on the theatre stage. You might also see the odd chinaman here just for pokemon.

Very very small park. Go around it when you are moving between locations.

City park that has some fun festivals an concerts/events. But it's not a park you take your small kids to play at.

Where to stay in Sendai

In the city center of Sendai, you'll find a good range of budget and luxury accommodations to suit a range of tastes. From standard high-rise hotels to traditional "ryokan" (guesthouses), they sit pretty close to the main train station, forming clusters around the main public parks, commercial developments, and temples. The surrounding landscape features a number of "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) located in clusters around hot springs. Take a look close at Mount Okura and Kamakurayama for some of the most concentrated patches of spa retreats.
