Where to stay in Sendai

In the city center of Sendai, you'll find a good range of budget and luxury accommodations to suit a range of tastes. From standard high-rise hotels to traditional "ryokan" (guesthouses), they sit pretty close to the main train station, forming clusters around the main public parks, commercial developments, and temples. The surrounding landscape features a number of "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) located in clusters around hot springs. Take a look close at Mount Okura and Kamakurayama for some of the most concentrated patches of spa retreats.

  • Nice place to visit, very close to Miyagi prefecture head quarter, and Sendai city administration office, Ichibancho, Jozezenjidori are very close, you can get to the park by subway or Sendai city bus...  more »
  • Here is where many people always have something event. Tanabata Festival, during the constant jozenji Street jazz FES as well as food stalls.

  • Located in the city center of Sendai city subway kōtōdai-kōen station, so the convenience of transportation. At the Miyagi Prefectural Office meeting and was resting in the Park after the meeting. It was exactly suitable for Sendai, Sendai OASIS.

  • Located at the heart of the city, it's always the place to go for events in Sendai. Look for many exciting events happening every month, esp in summer and winter.
  • It is a small Park, littered with bronze statues. Not somewhere you would specially go for, unless there's a town fair or something. You can pop by though, if you happen to pass by for shopping or eating. the other reason would be for Wake Up Girls anime pilgrimage. Note that there are no Sakura trees here, so try the other parks like nishi Park or tsutsujigaoka. Oh, it is too dark to visit at night, unless you want to spend your night with the homeless asleep on the theatre stage. You might also see the odd chinaman here just for pokemon.
  • Great park in central Sendai aleays busy with some kind of event on weekends.
  • Very very small park. Go around it when you are moving between locations.
  • City park that has some fun festivals an concerts/events. But it's not a park you take your small kids to play at.
