  • This park is at was was the original water source for Sapporo. The boardwalk passes through marsh near a lake backed by forested hills. Not a bad place for a picnic or stroll on a fine day.  more »
  • Locals are went to see fireflies. It is safe because Firefly spot is relatively close to the parking lot is a narrow road in the Woods at night and dark flashlights. However clear approaches don't illuminate the Firefly, so local. Because the local people coming more than you know. Between the 8:30 from 7:30 as well can be observed.

  • As the jug remains rigid and artificial sense of bias is that the Park was built by century, Nishioka reservoir dammed, cold River, but the former army, was made, but abounds in nature. And much wider than imagined-not brilliantly reflected rich trees surrounding the former head of a river ground is tranquility, beauty, debussey "propagation of water" is hearing hear like a scenes.... Look to the old water tower of historic buildings with red triangle Hat 6 adorable accent. In no time the bear is afraid of, near the entrance to a small portion around I did just install the fresh air!

  • Very sweet, small pleasant park/big pond. We saw lots of birds, butterflies, dragonflies, etc. It's a peaceful spot, not far from town. There is a small visitor center with toilets and water. Park is free. We took the subway (Green, or "N" line) south to the Sumikawa station exit (3rd from last) As you step outside, turn left (there is a big/nice MaxValu grocery story there, and a bakery) From there, you can pick up the 73 ring bus, which goes directly to the park. Seems the 73 buses go "both ways" in a loop, and the park is roughly in the middle of the loop, so I think you can go either direction, but we did not spot the stop across the street. Return is the same deal, the 73 bus takes you back to Sumikawa. (Very easy for us, even with no/truly minimal Japanese language skills)
  • Quiet park with a large pond and plenty of nature trails. Relaxing.
  • Very scenic park at anytime of year
  • Very popular Park is a place of rest. I went in the winter. This is a grandfather senior couples or landscape shots using a telephoto lens photographer senior, enjoying the winter nature walks, ski and Winter Park. Free, and pet urine marks all over the place, the atmosphere is not good and enjoy the feeling of morale is down. I'd need you pee tracks. And increased public awareness is low in Sapporo to shame.

  • I think it is quite large, so you can enjoy. This season, Skunk cabbage is best. Also, Shigeru green birds so we can find easily.
