  • And built a lot of buildings in Hokkaido's pioneering, actually put on the inside of the building. So wide a lot of walking. It is said in real life and habits, stayed about two hours, but I wanted to see more slowly. Maybe divide who are interested, not people. Elements I'm a 30-something, so it was very fresh, but enjoy the nostalgia in people over 40 years old and lots of it.

  • A good little place to explore various styles of original Japanese and 'Western' Japanese housing. It's not mind blowing but we enjoyed the beautiful winter scenery that went with it. Get a Sapporo Select Course B ticket to access this, the museum and 1 other location of choosing from a small list (such as the TV Tower) for ¥1,350.
  • Couldn't think of a better place to spend a blistery afternoon! Shortly after we arrived we were greeted by a friendly volunteer who was quick to offer us a free guided tour of the sprawling complex. The kind gesture really made our trip; the buildings came alive as their historical value was explained to us and the intense effort it took to reassemble all the buildings in a centralised location. It had the potential to feel like a tourist trap, but it really didn't. The boards and demonstrations were illustrative and informative, would definitely recommend!
  • I went in not knowing much, but very good. Had a quality time in Hokkaido's refreshing and history touched because it was good weather in May. Harsh life would definitely can feel in life at that time and how comfortable modern life or be reminded. Good that can rise to the Japan House, seen from the perspective of the person at that time. There is sound and atmosphere than taste will. Come again.
