Omiwa Shrine, Sakurai

4.5
#2 of 16 in Things to do in Sakurai
Explore one of the oldest Shinto shrines in the land, Omiwa Shrine--notable for its lack of sacred images or objects, it honors the mountain on which it stands. Wander the peaceful grounds, nestled in the trees, with an ancient Japanese cedar here considered as sacred. The main hall of worship stands purposefully empty, reflecting the sensibility of the Kofun period (250 to 538 CE): since the mountain itself is venerated, the trees are protected and grow densely upon it. Pilgrims can climb the mountain, but need to apply at the adjacent Sai Jinja and must wearing a white sash while doing so, after going through a Shinto ritual. From three-wheeled train station 10 minutes walk. From JR Kintetsu Sakurai station had the shuttle Buster. Approach from the three-wheeled train station are a number of restaurants such as Miwa somen noodles. Pass through the gate and is filled with Holy atmosphere. DW is admirable, there seems to be one of style.

Study of relation to the shrine of the same name is expected. Large Japanese Shinto shrine (kokufu-Cho, Tokushima prefecture) Karita "Fuchu-no-miya" and familiar of his precious life (okuninushi) Engi-Shiki in the Yomiuri Shimbun. That company became a center of religion and State in Awa-ancient dynasty Governor Office was placed on the ground, as the nationalist government of successive Governor revered thicker. Guardian seal mark and Treasury debt is issued and and reportedly called by divine and mark debt daimyojin. I wish not to lose "tsuma" i.e. the Governor's Palace and of Tsukasa's key, and it was kept in the shrine. 0/1870 great Japanese shrines and Bong was raised the same 5 years to Tillman and Peerage, was promoted to Prefecture, 0/1936.

Clearly, God's power is too great. Let's pray from decently paid untainted by payment. And I feel the great power from the mountain. I feel better saying the power spot and avoided visits to flighty about spirit.
