  • Opened fairly recently by the owner of a similar to Kanazawa Somaro tea house is a sumptuous tea house restored with a museum dedicated to Yumeji Takehisa unfortunately everything is in Japanese but you can admire its romantic young women prints. In terms of the show: he is reduced to the minimum (15 minutes of dances), longer the noon if you opt for the dinner/show package. But where can we see Maiko dances without spending a fortune? It is the great merit of the House Somaro: the miserable tourist the possibility to have an overview of the total art of maiko and Geishas.Reste compared with celées Niigata and Kanazawa. An oasis in this sad town is Sakata.
