Where to stay in Sakai

A modern agglomeration of what were once multiple towns, the city of Sakai has many centers. Even so, it offers few places to stay, with just a small number of hotels close to the castle and over by the coast. The established town of Fukui to the south possesses a greater diversity of places to stay, including a number of standard hotels and traditional ryokans. The hot spring resort town of Awara, just north of Sakai, has a wealth of ryokans with onsite onsens.

  • Seeing penguins that was expecting as part of Fukui. Small so expect large aquarium as I was not is a decent staff. Soon the Dolphin to the outdoor pool. Short time was enough. Senkaku penguins that could afford about 45 minutes, so went to the theatre "whales and dinosaurs. Taken the extra charge on the 3D glasses and use that expected, but was not quite whale nor in the live-action footage, CG. I think not quite worth to take your money. No one is the need to go. It is a desire of waste with a double, went to an outdoor theater and has already begun the Penguin walk. Penguin is cute. This best is could be seen slowly swim around penguins in the Penguin pool. Swim in the pool with one high-tension penguins swimming and incredible speed and jumping dolphins in, became excited up here. Forget was offended at the theatre, but thanks to this Penguin is found. Thank you. Without theater is five points, three points.

  • What this aquarium lacks in size, it more than makes up for in original experiences. Visitors can take in a dolphin show, touch octopus, sting rays and sharks, feed sea turtles, and see fish that were all acquired locally.
  • Great for children and very affordable entrance fee.
  • Came here around winterishtime. Quite barren which was really quite nice in its own way. Shouldn't really take you more than an hour or two to experience all that's on offer at this aquarium but that's fine. It's a pretty peaceful experience that gave me a hearty nostalgic hit for some reason.
  • A fairly complete local aquarium that's great fun for the kids. Has a dolphin show, sessions with seals (allowed to touch) and penguins. Other attractions include feeding turtles, and small bridge to a small rocky island.
  • Your kid can interact with animals here.
