Where to stay in Saitama

Not truly an established tourist destination, the accommodations of Saitama remain rather one-tone. Close to the main train stations that are such a key feature of the city, because of their connections with Tokyo, you'll find the majority of accommodations here, primarily coming in the form of business-style hotels. Modern, fairly ordinary, and with pools and restaurants as standard, they offer a decent place to bed down for the night. The depth and variety of Tokyo's accommodations lie just a half-hour train journey to the south.

  • There is a small area inside where photos are not allowed. But they have beautiful bonsai trees. The time of year will determine what trees are on display. Spring will be cherries, plum, and azalea, Fall will be maples, etc. Check out their website to know hours and what's the current display. This is a great afternoon trip and easy to get to by train then walking distance from the station.
  • Great explanation of Bonsai and how to appreciate them. Some really really old Bonsai here. In the car park out the back is a Bonsai garden shop.
  • A truly unique & beautiful place with a very comprehensive audio guide. I have always loved bonsai, but I learned so much from my visit. Wonderful
  • You can find really beautiful and old bonsais here. Also good to go around the museum and visit the bonsais in the stores nearby. It's a great neighborhood for bonsai admirers.
  • Nice place to learn many things about bonsai, the culture, the history etc. Those who like bonsai should visit this place.
