  • We had a wonderful day walking around the different bonsai homes. It is a lovely residential area, with lots of people walking their dogs and nice shops to check out. It's quiet, but if you love bonsa...  more »
  • Bonsai-Cho had been to the Zoo and I reach 10 minutes by train from Tokyo. It is a beautiful city, and bonsai in the garden where the door is released, you can also stroll. Heard was wondering it's seen a lot of foreigners from around the world all the bonsai town visited it. You can also experience the bonsai making, fun ~. Also wants to revisit the time difference!

  • There is a small area inside where photos are not allowed. But they have beautiful bonsai trees. The time of year will determine what trees are on display. Spring will be cherries, plum, and azalea, Fall will be maples, etc. Check out their website to know hours and what's the current display. This is a great afternoon trip and easy to get to by train then walking distance from the station.
  • You can find really beautiful and old bonsais here. Also good to go around the museum and visit the bonsais in the stores nearby. It's a great neighborhood for bonsai admirers.
  • You should go during autumn to see colors from the bonsai. Should be more beautiful.
  • Museum it's self isn't that big but really worth to visit.
  • Some of the specimens were quite beautiful, and the descriptions and history information was fairly detailed. But compared to other museums, nothing really stood out as interactive or insightful. The curators did quite little beyond a few standard presentation styles repeated over and over. It's not that this is a boring museum, it's just that even for people interested in bonsai, it's just not particularly interesting.
