#1 of 14 in Things to do in Saikai
Get close to some magnificent creatures at Nagasaki Bio Park, a zoo specializing in hands-on experiences with the animals. You'll have the opportunity to hand-feed and pet some distinctly unusual creatures, from monkeys and kangaroos to the semi-aquatic, giant relative of the guinea pig, the capybara. As well as this, explore the flower dome, inhabited by colorful butterflies and vibrant flowers, and the "insectarium," filled with rare bugs from around the world. Be sure to bring 100 yen pieces to buy food to feed the animals with from onsite vending machines. Take a look at our Saikai trip planner to schedule your visit to Nagasaki Bio Park and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • 5 stars, never miss the zoo if your children children like animals. Originally intended to give 6 points, traffic a little far, so give 5 points. It's not enough to go into the garden for three hours. With enough 100 yen, not enough to go to the shop to change, the mountain restaurant's food and beverage is also cheap. There were few visitors, and animals came around to eat, especially kangaroos, and other animals were docile. If you have the chance, I'll go again next time.

  • Haussnburg has a free shuttle bus to get there, can be seen on the official website. This is a very distinctive zoo, the whole zoo is on a hill, most animal shelters are perfect and natural fusion, even parrots and bats can come and go. Spend 100 yen, and most animals can come into intimate contact at a time that is more than just feeding. This garden has been nearly 30 years, see out, the garden staff are very fond of animals. The small pet restaurant at the door, just spend more than the ticket on a total of 500 yen can play with very cute cats and dogs and other animals for an hour, look at the museum's notes, you can also feel the staff love of animals

  • Two hours by car from Fukuoka. It was very hot in midsummer, and the animals were limp. I enjoyed watermelon time of capybara and the squirrel monkey feeding very much. Personally, the raccoon's bait was too cute!

  • Well organized park, adorable animals. A must-go checkpoint for family . However it is far away from the town, better to drive there instead of taking a 3hrs bus
  • A highly unique zoo where you can feed and touch the majority of the animals. The animals most receptive to interactions are capybaras, squirrel monkeys, and kangaroos. Indeed, the capybaras are the Biopark's mascot, but the squirrel monkeys are the real star of this zoo: highly energetic, adorable, and eager to be fed. Bring lots of ¥100 coins. You will need them to buy food for the animals from the Gacha-Gacha machines around the park. Normal tickets are ¥1700 per adult. You can pay extra to visit an extra section with cats and dogs, but I would not recommend it, because those animals seem miserable from over-stimulation.
  • Well organized zoo. We had very good time here. Too many lovely animals.
  • A wonderful place if u loves animals 😍😍
  • Lots of loveable animals. Beautiful stroll through the animal park! Feeding them is the best part.
