  • Anō station of Keihan railway takes more than 20 minutes. Car would be nice because there is a park in the parking lot beside the shrine. DW is not so big, but still noticeably pine. Highlights, rather than grow on the branches that spread out in all directions. In addition, you can see the OHMI Fuji on the opposite side of Lake Biwa. Stop by if you have time?.

Where to stay in Otsu

You'll find a scattered few accommodations across Otsu, primarily close to Otsu train station. The options located in this area tend to be fairly standard hotels, designed for businesspeople rather than tourists, with simple rooms, pools, and onsite restaurants. Closer to the lake, things get a little more interesting, with some more traditional guesthouses to choose from. Going anti-clockwise round the lake, you'll find some clusters of accommodations close to the primary attractions, such as hot springs. Then again, you can always stay in Kyoto and take a day visit to Otsu.
