Where to stay in Otsu

You'll find a scattered few accommodations across Otsu, primarily close to Otsu train station. The options located in this area tend to be fairly standard hotels, designed for businesspeople rather than tourists, with simple rooms, pools, and onsite restaurants. Closer to the lake, things get a little more interesting, with some more traditional guesthouses to choose from. Going anti-clockwise round the lake, you'll find some clusters of accommodations close to the primary attractions, such as hot springs. Then again, you can always stay in Kyoto and take a day visit to Otsu.

  • Kiso yoshinaka, and he loved Matsuo Basho the Tomoe gozen, and time was a big fan of his tombstone. Is not that big so far, but the Compact is a very beautiful place. Especially the foliage season is where you need to take.

  • I can feel the depth of yoshinaka Temple further read morota Reiko "Tomoe" before going to the NACA Temple and taken. Do you think interesting temple of Shiga Prefecture's largest temple there is a small temple in exceptionally good.

  • Otsu City [yoshinaka Temple] the temple was buried when Basho died due to their hopes. As a result there are many monument on the place. (1) a signpost right y. Zhong temple to let more mounds is the founder of two from zeze Station North Road (crush Saka) branches. (2) Tomb of Basho and amazed at the little things (3) and Xuan Chi Ki Dono squating back suiting famous clause (4) sound of water 飛込mu Basho haiku monument old mere (5) shadow of a Basho haiku monument Crescent NIP a buckwheat flowers (some phrases) (6) Mr. Hall and the doings (7) Basho haiku monument travel disease dream wandering puts near many of the [crush children's Park] even Basho haiku monument, US House of grass and Sun and chrysanthemum wine

  • Is a small temple, but when you are prepared, beautiful. Worth a look is. Matsuo Basho was a big fan of the Kiso yoshinaka and his grave there. "Kiso and back the cold."
