Where to stay in Otaru

Historic little Otaru brings in significant numbers of visitors every year, with its scenic old canals and relaxed bayside charm. Take a peek at the converted warehouses in the canal district for some of the most stylish accommodations in town, with boutique hotels decorated with a keen eye for detail. Standard and luxury hotels line the newer commercial streets around town, while well-kept, traditional (or traditional-looking) "ryokan" (guesthouses) sit on the older commercial thoroughfares. Budget hostels can be found throughout, offering private and shared rooms.

  • Highly recommended for the amazing view of Otaru from here.
  • Nice temple with a great view
  • Most GPS devices lead to the wrong way and you need to explore by your eyes. Very beautiful scene and worthwhile for a visit.
  • The shrine is rather average, but the view of Otaru and the sea from the shrine ground is rather amazing.
  • Aioi-Cho, Otaru is Suitengu shrine (suitennguu) visit. Big shrine located on a hill with a view overlooking the port of Otaru. Slipping through the narrow streets in residential areas, finally arrived. And the parking is very narrow. Becoming a monthly parking. No gate to parking space in front of the stone. Were big and splendid building. Two children are enjoying the view below. People visit one after the other. It's unusual for popular shrines in Hokkaido. ☆ Grand 弥津 wave sold God (only for is based on bite), moisturizing food God (ukemochinokami), Italian evil,-God (izanaginokami), Italian evil, graces (izanaminokami)
