  • Ueno is suitable for or wander quietly not overflowing with tourists to the pond and dazed on the bench. Ikegami line has a very quaint streets and spot and walked down to fit various discoveries.

  • what a great park I lived about a 5 minute bicycle When I lived in Senzokuike, ride away from this My friends used beautiful park. to come here every night

  • 勝海舟先生のお墓と西郷隆盛先生の留魂祠碑があります。 You can find the grave of Mr. Kaishu Katsu and the monument of Mr. Takamori Saigou around this pond.
  • A lovely, tree-lined, large pond adjoining Nakahara-kaido to the east with rowing and paddle boats that can be hired for either 30 mins or one hour. The pond is surrounded by a walking/jogging path and is home to a small park, a couple of shrines, some foot bridges over the water and wooden decking along the water's edge to view the numerous carp and turtles. Due to the lack of high rises and cables around the park, some beautiful skylines and sunsets can be photographed, and there is an abundance of wildlife that makes every trip a surprise (I saw a Kingfisher today).
  • I love spending time walking and excercising at Senzokuike Park. About 1.2km's circumference and with good wide paths it is a popular place for people running and jogging. A number of Temples are also located in the park. The biggest attraction is if course the lake which contains an abundance of Koi Carp and Turtles and which also attract a large variety of Birds. A playground area for Kids also exists which contains a swing set and small play gym with slide as well as a dirt pit (like a sand pit only it's dirt! But kids have a great time playing in the dirt!!)... Oh, and the Senzikuike Library is also located inside the park area. Amenities outside the park unfortunately are lacking, a couple of small cafes, a moss burger and a Ramen shop & Yakitoriya exist next to the station but other than that there's not much else. Throughout the year there are various festivals in the park. Lastly, at 6:30am every morning the locals in the area gather to do 15mins of exercise with around 50-60 people usually in attendance. Free for anyone who is feeling energetic at that time of morning! So get down to Senzokuike Park for the day and enjoy the atmosphere and sights :)
  • Good place to check out cherry blossoms. In the evenings the blossoms look like popcorn and the food stalls are tasty too.
  • I pass this park everyday on my way to school. It's like the loveliest time of my day.
