  • It will arrive in about 10 minutes by public ferry from whitewater port of Nagasaki on the big island. Many flights not previously think of home and know better. This island has several restaurants (? ) Of the houses is an inhabited island. Is the island once read the coming song taneda santōka. Cottage in the town until a few years ago, it was crowded during the bathing season, but because of aging now closed. Therefore no accommodation. On the island, public transport is not as motorcycle, bicycle and car onto the ferry and explore the narrow road bikes, bicycle, on foot would be better. A tourist there are few. Walking and you can enjoy the view of the Seto Inland Sea trekking. It is for anything.

  • Over Nagasaki on the big island, in addition to cross by ferry to the remote island. Is a quiet island population don't sound of things nor the sound of the waves by about 20 people. Island is wearing Tangerine fields spread, farmers who have caring for fruit trees occasionally seen. Blurring in quiet small beach is on the East side, I shall want to is recommended because it is relatively good access from the Mainland.

  • BRING RABBIT FOOD WITH YOU The highlight of the trip to Japan! It's an absolutely unique experience, especially if you love rabbits. However, I can't stress enough that it's important to bring rabbit food with you when you come, as there is no place to purchase it on the island. It's also best to bring fresh vegetables, as the rabbits seem more receptive to that. Also, don't forget to walk around the island, as the rabbits on the north side aren't nearly as frequented as the rabbits on the south, so they'll gladly still rush up to you after all the southern ones are full.
  • Okunoshima, a.k.a. "Rabbit Island" is a great day trip from Hiroshima City. I would suggest setting aside at least 4 hours for travel to and from the island and Hiroshima city. There is a hotel with a restaurant (or two) on the island for you to dine at, but I would suggest packing your own lunch and eating it on the island's observation deck-just make sure to leave no garbage behind. The rabbits are very tame and easy to feed, and the store near the mainland port in Tadanoumi sells packets of rabbit food for 100 yen.
  • Cute bunnies!!!! Love them, they were wild, but very friendly. They live freely on every surface available on the island. They'll come to you when they hear the sound of the bunny food (if you bring some; a tip: buy at the port before coming to the island). Reaaaaalllly love this island. Surely the highlight of my trip!
  • So many rabbits
  • A must if you go to Hiroshima prefecture, or the area. An island filled with bunnies, and a lot of amazing spots for pictures, and of course history! You won't be disappointed. Be prepared with food for the bunnies, otherwise you're gonna get ignored by them. You can't buy food on the island! Not for the bunnies, and barley for yourself.
