Utsubo Park, Osaka

3.8
#6 of 27 in Parks in Osaka
Find a slice of serenity amid the Osaka hustle at Utsubo Park, a large 9.7 ha (24 ac) urban green space with well-lit ponds and fountains. You can play soccer or tennis, or admire bronze sculptures of families fully dressed in real second-hand clothing, representing love and harmonious family life. Formerly one of the city's busiest wholesale fish markets before being turned into a US military airfield, the park houses Osaka's science and technology center and the Utsubo tennis center, which hosts some international tournaments. A rose festival, as well as flower and sculpture exhibitions, stand out among the park’s highlights throughout the year. In the Osaka city parks this toughness (utsubo) and Osaka Castle Park big and famous. But.... Utsubo Park don't know anyone. Do you knowing it why go this far? It's too far and inconvenient. I wonder if only famous on the tennis court where why built in the West of this gap? Good and normal day. It's people be sparse with not much wider. At the tennis courts.

Lovely park for cherry blossoms and roses. There is a tennis court, flower shops and plenty of benches to sit and rest.

A green lounge inside the heart of Osaka. Spotting a vast variety of roses coming from all over the world. Reach the peak of its beauty during the summer period, when all the roses are blossoming. Good for any pause and a snack inside a natural, maniacally cured green environment. Absolutely one of my favorite place in town

Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.
