UNIVERSAL CITYWALK OSAKA, Osaka

4.0
#6 of 71 in Shopping in Osaka
Head for US-style shopping with a Japanese twist at UNIVERSAL CITYWALK OSAKA. Sitting just outside the gates to universal studios, the shopping mall features a number of restaurants selling local signature dishes, including Japanese barbeque, sukiyaki and sushi, and ramen noodles. Two hotels also call the mall home, as well as retail stores and a children’s toy museum. Try to get here early and make your restaurant reservation in advance, as local eateries are known to get quite full. • Especially noticeable neon signs at night, like in the streets of the United States, is fun. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and souvenir shops. Takoyaki Museum is located here. If in USJ return visit at night so it was crowded.

  • Alignment required, such as convenience stores, drug stores, restaurants, theme parks and from ikspiari Disney Resort near size but this is excellent. I would include many from the grocery store is probably for travelers from overseas. Product lineup is like that.

  • We did not expect the usj walk was so great. It looked like a mini nature of osaka containing entertainment and shops. The greatest place was the restaurants and cafes at 2-3 /f. We chose the cafe to ...  more »

  • Wonderful theme park and the great crew operating it. Everyone is polite and helpful even if they are not so well verse in English. So no worries about the language barrier. The rides are great esp flying dino and the Hollywood roller coasters. The Harry potter theme park is fun and entertaining. However the queues are long even if you go on a Wed or Thu. 70 to 100 min waiting time for popular rides. So express tickets are recommended. Overall a great park. Even better than the Singapore one.
  • A very lively place. There are numerous restaurants and souvenir stores found here. Good hotels are also nearby.
  • Wide range of options. I do recommend a visit in GAP factory store.
  • Nice people, nice foods and nice stuff 👍👍👍 with so many options
  • Bought oneyear pass for 3 years now! Lively place but too crowded. Recently lots of rides with long waiting time :(

Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.
