  • Scouting with Angelo, then 2nd visit with more time to advise (without pressure on the various blades and therefore price), test the Cup on vegetables, guidance in the Japanese way to cut, choose historical and modern penknives like memories also. Of beautiful blades which they know artisans, opportunities for cooking class with a former Chief. A multilingual service (also in french), attentive. And the icing on the cake you can make free engrave your name in Japanese on the blade, in a nod to your Japanese trip. It is with joy that I use for 6 months on a daily basis my santoku, and also a small knife with a flexible blade for my spreads. A counselor.

  • If you plan to purchase a knive in Japan, and youre visiting Osaka, go to this shop. They have a wide selection of beautifuly handcrafted, japanese knives. If youre a leftie like me, they can easily find one for you too. I was so lucky as to have the owner of the shop help me out, and he definately seems to know all there is to know about not only the knives, and the work that goes into making them, but also how to maintain them, and keep them sharp for years to come. Ask all the questions you want here, as this place clearly has great passion in what they do, and are more than happy to dish out on all their knowledge.
  • Tower Knives Osaka, an excellent place to buy top quality Japanese made knives. Atsushi-san provided excellent service. He speaks good English and is extremely patient while share with us much of his knowledge in the making of a good knife. Depending on your need, Atsushi-san will be able to help find a good knife to match your requirements. Tower Knives Osaka does carry a good variety of knives and they are reasonably priced compared to other knife shops at Doguyasuji shopping street. They also explained the proper method of sharpening knives and even provided fruits and vegetable samples for test cutting. During our short stay in Osaka, we visited Tower Knives Osaka 3 times! I highly recommend this place for those looking for good quality knives at very very reasonable prices :)
  • Excellent shop that sells both handmade and machine forged knives. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They can cater to english speakers too! Tip: Take your time to examine the knives and ask as many questions as you can to find the perfect knife for you. The staff are very helpful.
  • They have English speaker, friendly, funny and professional stuff. Stuff is super patient and answer anything you want to know. Nice collection of knife of course.
  • Great place. Owner knows his stuff. Bought three knives. And they are great to use. Very worth while to go there.
