  • I went to the National Museum of Bruegel's 'Tower of Babel' exhibition of the Osaka Nakanoshima. Museum of art was in the basement exhibit unique structures. Imagine a big piece is a small but ancient world.

  • Is the Museum also briefed what is normal or not. Uninteresting whimsy of the exterior may be eye-catching, but are displayed with taste.

  • It is a Museum of art, Osaka. It is about a 10-minute walk from higo subway Yotsubashi Line Nihonbashi station exit 3. On the way back we walked to the Umeda station. Pretty good for a walk. Building is a wonderful historic buildings. In the basement with a permanent exhibition there was Babel exhibition limited this period. Large luggage bags in lockers are available. I went to Tower of Babel on the weekend. Description and history, not just look at Tower amemiya's voice guidance is 500 yen, so is recommended. Because visitors often have circulations flow better flooding clean. Just in front of the Tower of Babel was a queue, lined up about 10 minutes. Reflected in the glass on the front but I can't see well and enjoyed without rushing it can avoid the queues at the matrix for can't stop the second column is good, also the reflection of the glass should be careful. Larger paintings were reproduced by students of the school of fine arts is fine and is faithfully reproduced, is good and easy to understand. Souvenir corner, things and was very good. Enjoy art and architecture, great museums. It is recommended.

  • This place was quite interesting. They had exhibits in different and various meduims. From sound, short movie, scuplture, paintings, installation to live performance. They had included artists from around the world which helped the experience for someone like me who doesn't speak and understand Japanese. The exhibits are quite contemporary. You will enjoy this place if you enjoy modern conceptual art. The entry fee varies from 800 to 1200 yen if I am not mistaken. You can also buy a translator as well, which would help with the language barrier.
  • Very interesting exhibition when I went (January 2018). The architecture of the museum is quite interesting, it looks small on the surface but it’s a giant underground complex. Don’t forget your student id if you have one.
  • The museum is an exhibition oriented museum. There are two main floors where exhibitions were held by 2 artists. A sculptor and a photographer this time. Both were very interesting and had a good curating job to them. You could buy a ticket to the first exhibition, held in floor b1. The b2 exhibition ticket was for both of them. I recommend around two hours or more for the museum.
  • I've to say that I am kinda dissapointed with this museum. Osaka is the second city in Japan and I feel it deseves a better contemporany art museu, as I found it generally dull, despite of 5 highlights. (two of them japanese, the others western) We were visiting this new exhibition that celebrates the 40th aniversary of the museum. About that one, I have to complain about the lack of titles, as well as the lack of exhibition discourse. Also, the exhibition map was messy and vague to the point where we felt like we were walking without any path arround conceptual art. And this is particulay bad, as this kind of art is difficult for many visitors, and it requires an exceptional treatment from the curators.
  • Excellent Museum. Great building. Amazing art pieces

Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.
