  • A small humble temple located near Osaka Umeda station. Able to visit here because I was staying nearby. At the entrance, the courtyard seemed to be a little small at first with an area of small pebbles drawn in circles. Very neat indeed. Walk around the courtyard and it will bring you to the main temple complex which is much larger. Here even when I came in the morning, there was already a small crowd, although they were all locals. Maybe it's because, this is not a very touristy place. There are prayer letters strung up on threads, and candles lit up, both making it quite serene and peaceful. And the occasional deep sound of brass bells. A good place to visit if you are in the vicinity.
  • So interesting! Basically a lovers' shrine.
  • It is close to Umeda. It crouches in a quiet place. Higashi-Umeda station is convenient, it is easy to understand. Many sacred sites. Stamp.

Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.
