Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street, Osaka
(4/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Browse through Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street, a covered arcade of shops offering buyers a range of foods, special ingredients, and cooking instruments. Osaka has a reputation as "Japan's kitchen" and the 150 m (492.1 ft) long shopping arcade's name roughly translates as "Cooking Tools Street." It's a go-to spot for the city's chefs and restaurateurs, so by default you could say it's one of the best places to pick up an authentic kitchen souvenir, such as a Japanese knife or bowl. The shops are densely packed with wares, but don't be put off looking in each, as different items can still be found across the arcade.
