Watch the chefs flip various "takoyaki" balls with chopsticks at Osaka Takoyaki Museum, a food court featuring a wide variety of takoyaki outlets. A paradise for takoyaki lovers, you can get a portion from a vending machine or be your own chef as you enjoy the famous Japanese snack, invented and popularized by an Osaka vendor and revered in the local area. You can learn about the history of the dish, the utensils required to make it, and its ingredients, which essentially consist of diced octopus in a wheat-flour batter. Get some souvenirs and take part in year-round events and games at the museum, which sits a short walk from Universal City station. • It's inside the Universal Citywalk. If you're a takoyaki lover like me, this place is surely for you. You would surely enjoy the different versions of takoyaki and you can also bring home some ingredients to make your own takoyaki.
  • Located just between Universal City Train Station and Universal Studios. Inside are about 5 takoyaki stores where you can dine and eat the most famous Japanese snack. It also has a store that sells takoyaki ingredients and souvenirs.
  • Smells delicious. Full of activity.
  • Many different kinds of たこ焼き.
  • A very sorry place (¯-̄٥) was in a different place, and that I eat baked good. This is the Osaka takoyaki? It would seem I.

Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.
