  • From the very old age are exhibited. Three floors of large buildings as exhibition space is relatively large. NHK and police station nearby.

  • Admission fee: 600 yen. First up on the 10th floor, come down in the order. Ancient, medieval, modern and down while watching the exhibition. Some places opening in front of Namba shrine ruins, look in front of Osaka Castle. NHK Osaka broadcasting station is adjacent to the room.

  • Ok as far as a history museum goes - impressive displays and large structures. Good layout - well thought out. Decent amount of English on the displays too which was nice. No English on any videos though, which was a shame. There is an audio tour thing but I cant comment on that because I didn't use it. I don't even know if it was in English! A few activities for children and the archeological explorer section was fun - for kids AND adults (though it is mainly aimed at children).
  • Informative dioramas of Japanese history! Location: Walking distance from the Osaka Castle. Exhibits: Many interesting diorama's to depict the Japanese culture and history. Key Takeaway: Recommended activity if you are at the Osaka Castle and it begins raining and you need to somewhere to be for 1-2 hours.
  • This is a great museum for kids. Lots of fun displays and activities. Not the best place to learn about Osaka's history in any depth. An audio guide is recommended, since there isn't much English on the displays
  • Decent museum at best - several floors but content was not too intriguing in my own personal experience. Great site to take pictures as they have several, vibrant displays of everything from porcelain to minimaps of Osaka, several centuries ago.
  • Take a picture wearing japanese traditional clothing. Amazing building structure
