  • Castle from the main gate and two ruins of sengan-Yagura 11/2016 weekends and holidays only special to the public. You can enter a special flame glass factory of the nishinomaru garden as well. Use the rides around the castle is so large? You can also tour to the moat in the gilded ship at Osaka Castle Hall side gokuraku Bashi "barges". You can overview the Osaka Castle from the Osaka Museum of history.

  • We didn't go into the castle itself but the grounds are free to walk around and there's lots to see, the castle itself is beautiful and it feels far away from the city. Little vendors and shops inside...  more »

  • Castle worth visiting! The entrance in the castle park is free but the different elements require paiment. The main tower is well worth it and it's pretty cheap (~6usd). Beautiful views of the city from the top and really good expo/museum in the tower. There also are food trucks available.
  • Beautiful views of the city and a great castle that isn't difficult to traverse (the lands around the castle). You take an elevator up to the 5th floor and then walk up to the 8th with interesting artifacts (with English descriptions) on each floor. The views from the top are great and are well worth the 600 yen entrance fee. If you are fat you will likely have a hard time here, narrow staircases and lots of going up and then even more going down.
  • The castle looks great on the outside and you get great views from the top. There are some interesting artefacts on each of the levels as you decend the tower. Overall good for the view but I probably would not bother going up the tower again.
  • From the outside the castle grounds and castle is impressive. Be prepared to walk a lot. Inside the castle is a little disappointing. I was expecting to see some of the original architecture. On the plus side, the view of Osaka from the top is pretty cool.
  • Good place to visit but bearing in mind that this is actually a castle museum. It was build recently in concrete but imitate perfectly a well known castle on a smaller scale. To visit the real thing you must go to Himeji, 40 minutes away by train.
