Where to stay in Osaka

The majority of Osaka's moderate and expensive accommodations concentrate in the districts of Umeda, Kyobashi, Namba, and Shin-Osaka. Base your stay in or near Minami neighborhood for proximity to a wide selection of shopping and dining options. For quick access to long-distance transportation to other cities and areas, look for hotels in Kita district. Many backpackers prefer the budget options in the Tennoji area, where the quality of rooms and prices vary wildly--call or check websites of specific establishments before you make reservations.

  • Its so easy to get lost here, with numerous exit and connecting line and subway. Lots of good restaurant and shopping available  more »
  • Big mall at namba station... With many shops and restaurants... Mostly branded... Worth a visit because if you are not satisfied then you can roam around in that area which is best for shopping, bars ...  more »
  • What to wear in March? Wind-proof jacket due to rain and drizzle or hooded-fleece coa and thin gloves to standby. What about late May & June? I was told it will be cool like 22'C - 25 'C in 2016 but S...  more »

  • I got lost in here several times trying to make my way from Namba station to my hotel that was south of here. It's a combination of indoor and outdoor mall spaces and a park of sorts. Was particularly handy moving from Namba station south on rainy days as there's generally a covered walkway through most of it even in the outdoor bits. Lots of name brand shops and few more interesting specialty shops. There's a theater in there too somewhere but I never quite figured out where.
  • This city feels like home. It's busy with many convenient places to visit apart from the convenient stores. Check out Dotonbori for food trips, Kuromon Market for fresh seafood/meat/produce, Shinsaibashi for shopping, Namba Parks for tall-mall shopping, and Den Den Town for anime addiction!
  • Lively district with a huge array of shopping and food. Also a good place to people watch as Namba station is connected.
  • Very lively and crowded even at night time. Crawling with people that sings or play instruments or displaying their fashion sense on the streets
  • I WON'T recommend this shopping center. First, your will be charged tax refunds fee 1.1% here, if you buy from other Shopping center, for example "LUCUA Osaka", the fee is ZERO. Second, the staffs in Tax refund center are super rough!! I don't know why I have paid the fee for this horrible service?! If I can choose, I won't shop in any shopping center which use Global Blue Japan!!!
