Taste the old days of Osaka at Matsuzakagyu Yakiniku M, Hozenji Yokocho, set in a narrow stone-paved lane of the city’s bohemian quarter. An Edo-era row with gastropubs, cafes, and nearby old theaters, the alley makes a popular spot to sample the city's nightlife and taste some great food. Smell incense wafting from the Hozen shrine tucked in the alley off the busy main streets, and see the famous mossy Buddha, the "kami" of fury, now fully covered in moss. Stop for a prayer, pour water over statues, or find an eatery and hunt for souvenirs along the alley, which sits 5 minutes walk from Namba station, exit 14. • Walk from dotonbori Hori ebisubashi bridge takes about 5 minutes. Thousand days before Street is perpendicular to the street. Are relatively quiet and cozy atmosphere of good shops and gathering, to take delight.

  • This was a nice little stop surrounded by streets of restaurants and stores. It was also fascinating to see the moss covered statues that were repeatedly dowsed with water by patrons, praying for good...  read more »
  • Complex is located behind a bit in Japan dotonbori is the feel of its tranquil alley. HO, Zhen JI, called Grand Theft unlike unciga dotonbori. Close to Japan's unique izakaya are sometimes a cup of delicious side dishes you're lightly. Overall, it's been a little quiet and calm and I feel and unique to Japan. Naniwa, but need not bother to access had been a learning-friendly. One tip ... Japan is a country with a cigarette than a hedonistic dinner that you can smoke a cigarette. To go with children in taverns, you may need to worry again.

  • Well, if you can get in, it's gonna be great. Maybe it was just a busy period, but it was fully booked when we first wanted to go, so we could just make a reservation for the next day. The place is a little crowded, but it has a nice feeling about it. The food is good, they explain to you the menu and how it works in english so that's surely a plus. If you want some good beef, this place is for you.
  • We went and they were fully booked. So made reservation for the next day. They were nice to go through the menu with us. The beef was superb...the waitress told us to grill them for 5-6 secs each side but I find too I decided to grill for 10 secs each side and it's just taste wonderful.
  • We don't feel like being in a Japanese restaurant, alot of foreigner staff. Bad service and noticed the bartender was arranging the sliced beef and put them on the menu plate. Don't think they are freshly cut. We been touring Japan for a month the second time. Been to omi beef restaurants in tokyo, kobe beef restaurants in kobe multiple times and a few times to local beef yakiniku restaurant. All chefs treat the meat with proper care but not this one. This is the worst restaurant we been to, can't even match the normal local beef yakiniku restaurant. tourist trap where u pay for something that dont match the price.
  • Simply AMAZING!!!! Top graded meat one of the hidden gems in Namba, service was excellent with above avg English, after your meal the waiter will have a little chat with you and give some recommendations of places to go around Namba which they also provide a map to take with you. Perfect place to dine for couples/dates
  • Excellent beef and great venue and atmosphere .. especially ohtoro karubi and beef sirloin. Don't forget the garlic rice and kimchi. Highly highly recommended!
