Kids Plaza Osaka, Osaka

(4.3/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Take the kids to Kids Plaza Osaka, a museum aimed squarely at children, helping them learn through play. Across five themed floors, the museum has kids climbing on surreal structures designed by Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasse, teaching to play weird and wonderful musical instruments from around the world, or becoming police or postal workers in the make-believe town on the fourth floor. You can find plenty more activities on site, and although there is no cafeteria, you're welcome to bring a packed lunch, or can come and go as you please during the visit by showing your pass. By using our Osaka itinerary planner, you can arrange your visit to Kids Plaza Osaka and other attractions in Osaka.

  • Went on a Friday afternoon - it was pretty quiet, no school groups - only tourists or pre school age kids. Our kids loved top level games and exhibits - lots of interactive stuff ~ kids can play toget...  more »

  • Great place to take the kids, and there are a lot of them, at least when I went. 90% is in Japanese and that is to be expected. But that also limited what we could do. Great place to kill a few hours with the kids if not the whole day.
  • Best kids place for your money. Aside from the play area, they have walk in craft and computer workshops, special cooking workshops, special events and more depending on when you go. Check their webpage for more details. Big Bang is closer to my home but we spend an hour extra hour to come here.
  • Good place for kids playing in rainy season. Kids can learn in fun way.
  • A bit pricey but there are many colorful, interactive exhibits. Everything is educational in nature. The dress-up area lets kids pretend to have different occupations. The center of the place is like a jungle gym on steroids with many places to run, climb, and crawl around. After visiting, there's a nice park behind the building.
  • Kids will enjoy, however parents have to pay full entrance fee while there is not much to do for parents. Role playing activities is best part.
