America Mura, Osaka

(1.7/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Take in contemporary culture and fashion at America Mura, one of the go-to destinations for the youth of Osaka. Upon its establishment in the 1970s, renovated warehouses sold imported goods here, and the area gained a reputation as a birthplace for the latest trends. Sift through thrift stores for unusual clothing, peruse miscellaneous stores, and take in the arts, both in galleries and on street walls. Don't miss the chance to people-watch as the more far-out expressions of Japanese pop culture stroll the sidewalks. • Very nearby walking distance from Daimaru. Lots of shops selling westerner stuff, very America style. Lots of shops, eateries around. Great to walk around, many uniquely designed lamp posts.
