  • Sin carrion x out! I work I use puffy. Children do not need to use the bullet train higher pay, but not used any Tokyo-Omiya for 30 minutes, the Shinkansen is a safe distance. Normal round-trip bullet train car seats (Tokyo or Ueno-Omiya station) station Railway Museum round-trip ticket from Tokyo station and "train museum admission ticket" is set. Shinkansen seats is not available. The facility is a good train-lovers. Less children toilet facilities but many congregate children then. Experience systems were non-preschool-age children. Also be used in kindergartens of the excursion groups. Safe to bring a packed lunch, or buy a meal at the restaurant is not good for the Ekiben.

  • Train (from old until recently) just around the corner is the Museum can be seen. Is using one day were spent in look slow, you may be better. 7/2018 was opened, and Tohoku Shinkansen E5 (mock-ups built based on actual appearance only) and can often be found 400 series Yamagata Shinkansen (put on the premises). It is okay to stay one day, and food and Beverage facilities.

  • Really nice location for a family day. Tons of interesting things to do and activities to join. Some activities are on a time schedule so it’s important to plan ahead to get the most out of your visit. I went on a weekday and it was fairly busy but I could see it be extremely busy/crowded on the weekends and/or holidays. Some of the more popular activities have time tickets to prevent overcrowding, this is also something to keep in mind when planning your trip.
  • Love the museum! A tad far as my family chose to walk from the train station instead of taking the electric tram. Though my Japanese isn't good enough for me to understand the exhibit, the displays of the various trains in service in the past is impressive. Coupled with cute bento boxes shaped like trains or in train themed packaging, it's a nice place to spend half a day browsing. Definitely a place to spend money on train themed items from souvenirs, books and train models. Suitable for families with kids that are wowed by trains as they have some kiddie rides.
  • A great museum of Japan's railways history and development! Many real exhibits that are well preserved. It also comes with mini trains that can be driven by kids themselves. It takes about an hour from Shinjuku by JR. Worth a visit!
  • Great for everyone of all ages. Really interesting. Lots of exhibits and other attractions. You can definitely spend the whole day here. I strongly advise you to avoid public holidays and perhaps weekends too because it gets really crowded.
  • A great place for exploration and glimpse into the fantastic railway of Japan. With history, and real trains in display for you to see, feel and sometimes enter the train to explore. A must come for all railway fans!!!
