  • Open sky city is 800 meters above sea level, and located on the border of the Okutama-machi, OME-Shi, Tokyo opened the high priest who is, I am surprised at this mountain much of the village is not as in the hills and fields of shukubo and souvenir shop, restaurant. It is from mitake station station by bus or private car to the station car park at the foot of the cable-car parking fees 1 1000 yen, funicular at 1,110 yen and, just a few minutes very quite high. From beyond the village shrine walk 30 minutes during ascent the stairway and the breath is off. Climb the Hill in front of the cable car from producing cheap, children, marital well-being and sacred tree of cedar trees. Please, visit the behind the shrine has enshrined climbed the stairs quite ontakesan Summit, is also the main great come on the power spot at the end there. Turn left consisted of the side entrance. Office is also located on the left side, bringer of the Bills, such as the sacred lot was written in an old fashioned word and and include a decryption certificate. Because the unusual name and evil is normally possible. Here helped lead the wolves lost long ago, God turns to, since here was built the shrine, revered dog. Seen a lot foo it is interesting. Beneath the shrine feel free to enjoy hiking, perched Cedar Tengu rocks, Tengu, rock garden is beautiful Moss and babbling. There is also a famous waterfall, Aya wide waterfall is a waterfall of Shugendo 7 waterfalls, Aya wide waterfall. I wish come true is famous. Okunoin is located beside the ontake Hill is a steep mountain road attention needed, top front shrine is located, okunoin is the one located on the top, very small stone. There is higher than Mt. ontake volcano at about 1100 meters above sea level. Winter cable car square overlooks the heart of Tokyo see Tokyo sky tree. I say night with starry sky considerably clean. Cable car dog is OK. Day hikes is good! ~

  • When I, and prayed at the Deus Ex Machina in the neighborhood as "protect the well-being of the future", on the trip here to bother you, please protect the safety of the upcoming trip. But during a visit here by mistake to ask both the 御籤 Oracle,... "evil". What two and a half years Buri (because I'm pulling the 御籤 more than 20 years total more than 50 times) is. "My body's look clearer in the system that many. Curse of the Deus Ex Machina are like. Office or to if it should take "... apparently" that's home to ask monja-yaki. won't is wrong, Gates! "For that was very rude... m (_ _) m

  • I went at probably the worst time—the Sunday before a Monday holiday— and Musashimitake Shrine was being renovated. It was, however, still open with a line of people waiting to offer prayer. Nevertheless, the area was beautiful and the hike up was the right kind of exhausting.
  • Scenery is great just as the leaves are changing color.
  • And approach are well maintained and easy to walk when the get however, nokyo-sho (mountain so hard I'm) like that felt like an assembly line was (laughs)

  • Is located at the Summit of Mt. ontake, actually no clear references to top where is mysterious. Behind the shrine tucked away atop notation. I can't get a ropeway available even without a sweat so far. Stone stairway of the shrine is quite hard. View of mind, Tokyo is stunning from the shrine.

  • From mitake station bus and with cable car to the shrine to pray. A short and scenic "Sunrise mountain" at lunch. Enjoyable half-day hike. Mt. ontake shrine, thank you for the safe hike.
