  • This Knicks marine park is one of the three main park areas where I use foreign-focused garden packages, a park is only 2200 days round, save a bit of money, location in the boarding station to walk about 5 minutes, very convenient, very suitable for the first point after the arrival or the last point before leaving. Throughout the park, you can see a building like a castle, in fact, it is an aquarium, into the inside, with the introduction can know, there's a lot of performance here, though it's a very small marine park, but every show has to watch the guarantee is busy, in which the most popular is the goose of the animal star, the shaking brain, Forever is the most love of the big children, compared to other performances like dolphins and seals, is very ordinary. The central building of the aquarium, seemingly small, it is actually going to walk for a long time, according to the motion, the dream of the hand escalator to do very good, and then maybe the area is pretty, but just because it's going to be a show and it's going to come out in three or five hours, it's a bit of a hassle, but overall, it's a much better table than I thought, In addition to this exhibition, there are some small exhibitions outside, the goose is part of the need to see, just outside the house, a bit cold, worms are ordinary. In addition to the aquarium, there is a small park, not open in the winter, even if you open the ticket can not play, the rest of the local store will have to go, and the restaurant's food is surprisingly tasty and fair, and it's obviously popular with the groups, most of them American, and the Japanese are very few. As a result, this trip to the marine park is a satisfying one, and with a convenient location, you can come and see the lovely ocean animals.

  • Quite far away from Noboribetsu JR station! Most people are attracted to the penguin walk. If your itinerary includes Asahikawa Asahiyama Zoo, you can omit this marine park!
  • lot of fun here, you can enjoy penguins show and also sea lions show, I like it. :D
  • Animals in small enclosures. Poor sawtooth shark in tank that it can't even swim. Dying eels in small tanks. No supervision in touch pool. Chinese tourist lifting starfish out of the pool. Tourist trap....:(
  • Small scale but good for family with small children.
  • The animals are all in very small enclosures, especially this one poor shark. Also the descriptions of the majority of the animals are all in Japanese which made my viewing experience difficult. The housing of most the animals were very poor and I will not visit this park ever again.

Where to stay in Noboribetsu

The majority of places to stay in Noboribetsu lie inland, to the north of the main train station. Close to the hot springs and the volcanic valley, accommodations lie on all the streets across the modest urban area of the resort town. Many people see staying in traditional "ryokan" (guesthouses) as part of the experience, but some more modern hotels can be found across town, too. Visitors primarily look to find an option with onsite "onsen" (traditional Japanese hot spring spas), although you can always arrange a visit to one if not.
