2.5/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web
Meet the inhabitants of Noboribetsu Bear Park, an animal observation facility located at the summit of the mountain. Separated by age and sex, the 200 brown bears here have been raised in the facility, with the institution growing from a population of just eight in 1958. Head into the "cage for humans" to see the bears from their own perspective, and feed them salmon and meatballs, which you can buy on site. A museum reveals the history of brown bears on the island, their behavior in the wild, and their cultural importance to the indigenous population. Plan your visit to Noboribetsu Bear Park and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Noboribetsu tourist route planner.

  • Came by bus pick up from the hotel I stayed in. Aerial tramway, the scenery is nice, very nice. The Olli people! Through a pipe separating the acrylic piece, give a food to bear in front of me I'm feed up until bear breath coming in in the cage (smell) stood up and bait here and to say, bang bang and beat the acrylic sheet. Kuttara Lake seen from the observation deck force and size of the bear went to the dream (lol), was superb. If you go to the noboribetsu hot spring come stop by.
