  • Another traditional market packed with tourists. Close to Namba and easy to find. Wide selection of street food, fresh sea food, fruits, dried food as well as souvenir shops. A place to walk through to experience but do not need to spend too much time here. Some stalls provide tables for fine in. Usually closed at 6 pm. We brought Japanese Melon from the fruits stall and they helped to packed it nicely.
  • There is a nice tea shop with reasonable prices, and free tastings for each tea. Also, there are smaller shops for food near the end of the more popular places, and there is also a nice coffee shop with plenty of freshly roasted beans. There are tons of tour groups that mob the place, so the atmosphere isn’t so good. And definitely check and compare prices.
  • Seafood! That's the order of the day here, along with other shops selling other meats, and other touristy souvenirs as well. Great place to walk and snack along the way. The shops that sell fresh seafood also cook on the spot for you with some rudimentary seating inside the shop. You just need to pick your produce and get them to cook the way you like it.
  • It felt really touristy. Prices were marked up for tourists. No eating and walking. You eat in front of the store and trash your waste there. If I were to go back again, it would be for the to die for oden right in the middle of the market. I would order an entire plate of radish. The other ingredients were great too. Make sure you try it when you’re there. It’s one pot of bubbling hot goodness!
  • Lots of tourist and lots of tourist traps. Some things are really expensive like a medium sea urchin is 3000 yen. But the food is fresh and tasty. The fried crab stick is delicious. The curry rice is so good. The soft served melon is so good! The fruits are really fragrant and sweet but pricey.
