Ryuokyo Canyon, Nikko

(4.2/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
Immerse yourself in nature in Ryuokyo Canyon, home of a meandering emerald-green river resembling a dragon. Hovering steel span bridges and suspended waterfalls make this 3 km long (2 mi) trek one to remember, especially for nature lovers. Somewhat difficult to navigate to from Nikko, this ravine contains striking blue-green water beneath wisteria trees and unmatched views of the canyon from the bridges. This medium-intensity hike on a well-maintained trail requires good footwear, and you should watch out for steep and slippery steps on rainy days. Use our Nikko vacation route planner to add Ryuokyo Canyon and other attractions to your Nikko vacation plans.

  • For the first time on this trip. Sunlight is going well, but didn't negatively Dragon Gorge. In Japan there is no such a dynamic Valley was spectacular. Score in reviews is hard because I have not so much. Surprisingly was okay because there are ramps along the way. Rainbow seen from Bridge: musasabi-Bashi Bridge 1 hour long. Walkway, but cannot heal.

  • Attracted to the name Dragon Valley, and tried to go. Any views of fall foliage spots will be in the off-season visited was just disappointed. Still the view from the Hill was endowed with valuable experience in Nice, the weather. It will be better maintained foothold with confidence, take a stroll, but declined and heel. Kinu alone it just around the corner where you can see Yes so don't think. The following is not so reminiscent of places visited during this season.

  • Down, to come back 20 minutes round trip ~ we recommend going up there because it takes 30 minutes with good views from the bridge. Descend to the bottom and on the beach getting water is crystal clear and very beautiful. I think spring and autumn seasons are more better views. In the comfortable sneakers or walking shoes!
