Where to stay in Nikko

Rich in history, culture, and nature, you'll be pleased to find that Nikko also boasts a rich variety of accommodations. Competition may be pretty fierce at peak times, but make your reservation early and you'll be able to find somewhere to sleep that suits your style. Luxury hotels and boutiques with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) never stray too far from the river, while hostels and guesthouses tend to be tucked away on side streets, and up in the north of town. Mid-range and standard hotels lie close to the main train stations and by the main plazas.

  • If you happened to be in the area, you could stop for a walk and look at the river beneath you. If not, one could give it a miss.  more »
  • Is a pedestrian suspension bridge between shield rocks of scenic spots near the Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa and Kinugawa. After their stay in the sunshine, so came across before breakfast. Across the firm new bridge is shaky. Far beneath the torrent of the Kinugawa, so hard on people's fear of heights? Across the bridge is a hiking trail, came up to the lookout overlooking the Kinugawa Onsen.

  • Suspension bridge Kinu Tateiwa Otsuribashi became my favorite spot district of Kinugawa Onsen. An amazing building, merriwa, a breathtaking view from the bridge over the river and Kinugawa foot bath cafe near made this place very attractive. And, by the way, the bridge stretched so well, it's not swinging, you can not be afraid.
