  • I've been there today, mid April, everything is closed down (low season, up here). 7+7 km of very windy, montainous roads to see an unimpressive waterfall. Not worth the effort! Plus, it's April, melt...  more »
  • Visited one a cold gloomy day . The waterfall is very nice but I am sure it looks a lot better on a sunny day . Good thing is there's not many others around, so snapping photos is easy.  more »
  • Visit at the end of March there was still snow. Iroha slope up in the car, next to the parking lot. Waterfalls can be seen intact, but come on the elevator down. Will cost money, but not powerful. Seen from below, and the water falls like come falling down from the unforgettable impression is different. Get off the elevator and walking tunnel about 1 minutes, will take you to that location.

  • The best of the waterfalls in this area and worth paying to get down to the best vantage point. The falls look stunning in winter when everything is covered in snow and ice.
  • A must see in Nikko! You will have to pay a fee if you want to take the elevator to the bottom to get the best view of the falls but it is definitely worth it!
  • Superb waterfall! I have visited this twice (2015 Dec and 2016 Aug). If you go to Nikko you must not miss this. Do check the closing timing before you plan because there is an 100meter elevator (550 yen) which takes you to the viewing point for this waterfall.
  • Beautiful place, you can see it from Akchidara Ropeway too, It's near to Bus stop of Lake chuzenji ko,
  • Visit the paid observatory. It is amazing. great place.
