Irohazaka Route, Nikko
(3.1/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Travel the spectacular and winding ribbon of Irohazaka Route, which carves its snaking path up and down the mountainous landscape. With a total of 48 hairpins, it's not a drive for the faint of heart--but if you enjoy a bit of a challenge, you'll witness spectacular views across the valley, with observational points along the way. Scenic any time of year, the hills prove particularly memorable from October to early November, as the surrounding trees take on rusty tones. • I visited 11/10, but a few days in the relentless rain from the previous autumn was scattered about. Besides pity and went it was dark and foggy in a fantastic home. Also from "last year is just" good even though I heard from other travellers!

  • Thrills guaranteed. Especially, knowing that it is so bus rides. How are these turns Japanese bikers unfortunately not seen motorcycles fall already on the roads along the Lakes

  • I went and look at the end of autumn on Lake Chuzenji. I write things during this season because someone else lot wrote the iroha-Zaka slope is great where it traverses through by bus. 9:30 reached the Tobu Nikko station is already long queues at the bus stop. During this season in policy do not like buses and company customers will be waiting for the next flight. You'd better decide who go out alone, better make sure diamond from line Yumoto hot spring to either go inside Temple hot spring. Yumoto hot springs go I the line was long, but three in the 30 most recent flight was lined up and took the third. But while Chuzenji hot springs go to only one bus is not short column not progressed much. Bus is also one of the first JR Nikko station is it Tobu Nikko station by another nearly packed. After that, Hey great bus free King to buy in advance in Tokyo. Hit counter by Tobu-Nikko station buses behind. Organizations who share the role. I luckily in the 30 minute wait seating ensure could stand the iroha-Zaka slope, Eva would think. Leave only if congestion, traffic congestion don't have good speed so shaking and spend a few hours. For stuff number of tourist coaches vehicles even seat is not available. Still can't recover late in the morning and afternoon flights leave in sunlight Lake Chuzenji Onsen, is still good in a healthy, were distorted significantly. Given up that indeed does not alleviate the congestion in Chuzenji Lake to become pm, seems put out occasional flights. Still, for example putting out 3 o'clock flight to two new flights that do not. Last bus on time operation only. That's according to the driver, on the weekend of the fall foliage this year took three and half hours from tobu Nikko station from Lake Chuzenji. Even the natural Lake Chuzenji Onsen 2 hours is on the line. I think that leaves the real peak of the Hill is very beautiful and I'm trying to pass by bus over the weekend, almost rides riding well and be prepared to be without, while we recommend that afternoon bus departure at ichi was going to go. Autumn leaves were beautiful in the end.
