Irohazaka Route, Nikko

3.6
#8 of 40 in Sightseeing in Nikko
Landmark Tourist Spot
Travel the spectacular and winding ribbon of Irohazaka Route, which carves its snaking path up and down the mountainous landscape. With a total of 48 hairpins, it's not a drive for the faint of heart--but if you enjoy a bit of a challenge, you'll witness spectacular views across the valley, with observational points along the way. Scenic any time of year, the hills prove particularly memorable from October to early November, as the surrounding trees take on rusty tones. Where to stay in Nikko

Rich in history, culture, and nature, you'll be pleased to find that Nikko also boasts a rich variety of accommodations. Competition may be pretty fierce at peak times, but make your reservation early and you'll be able to find somewhere to sleep that suits your style. Luxury hotels and boutiques with "onsen" (traditional Japanese spas) never stray too far from the river, while hostels and guesthouses tend to be tucked away on side streets, and up in the north of town. Mid-range and standard hotels lie close to the main train stations and by the main plazas.

At that time as a highway toll road of Oku Nikko tourist people luck got Navigator, it was crowded with tourists from that time to enjoy hot springs as well as.
